For all the merriment in the air, the holidays can take a lot out of you—mentally, physically, emotionally. To speed healing, and keep your body in fighting shape for the year ahead, consider seeking out a restful, restorative spa treatment. With that said, I’ve done the hard work for you and scouted to find the best spa’s in the UK worth visiting. From the five star luxury spots via the Spa Breaks Elysium Collection to quiet hideaways in the British countryside, check out my top five recommendations below.

Bulgari Spa London

The exquisitely designed Bulgari Spa can be found in the heart of London’s affluent Knightsbridge. Descend beneath the five-star hotel and you’ll find a stunning 25-metre swimming pool, golden vitality pool, thermal facilities and divine treatments.  Pennyhill Park Hotel & Spa

The setting of Pennyhill Park makes it the ideal backdrop to relax and unwind. Even before you get to the spa itself, its 123 acres of grounds mean guests can go jogging, play the three-hole golf course or tennis, take a bike into Swinley Forest, try shooting or archery, a game of croquet or simply relaxing with a glass of wine in the hotel’s private cinema. The purpose-built spa is a part of the Spabreak’s Elysium Collection venues and is widely reputed to be one of the best and largest spas in the UK. At 45,000 sq. ft, it is both a beautiful addition to a hotel stay, as well as a superb day spa in its own right.
