Bloomingdale’s Premieres Green Room at Tribeca Film Festival
Posted on by Cameron Tewson
Bloomingdale’s, in partnership with Huppé, has teamed up with the Tribeca Film Festival to create a unique green room space designed for A-list talent to regroup after walking the red carpet. The Bloomingdale’s x Huppé Green Room, located at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, is a distinct environment displaying the contemporary personality of Bloomingdale’s newest lifestyle home brand, Huppé. The 2017 Tribeca Film Festival is presented by AT&T and takes place April 19th – 30th.
Bloomingdale’s Director of Store Design, Lisa Contreras designed the space for guests to relax and unwind prior to being on stage. The room is broken into three distinct areas and designed in a residential style where walls were installed to create visual focal points.
Contreras, along with the Bloomingdale’s design team transformed the raw space by installing pipe and black draping to create the backdrop for specifically designed freestanding walls. The freestanding walls sit in front of the draping and feature square windowpane designs which give the room focal points and depth.
The design layout of the Bloomingdale’s x Huppé Green Room creates three distinct spaces which are brought to life with Huppé’s unique product which fuses Italian and Scandinavian design with North American sensibility. One section is anchored by a chelsea grey sectional on an off-white shag rug. Two sleek white kite chairs and a studio cocktail table create an inviting space to relax and socialize. Another area is home to an Elda credenza which creates a beverage station for guests to recharge after walking the red carpet. The center of the dining area features an Elda dining table with North American birch tortora finish; surrounded by Elda chairs allowing guests to catchup on work or engage in conversation. A full list of products featured in the Bloomingdale’s x Huppé Green Room is available by request.
The Bloomingdale’s Huppé x Green Room opens April 20th and will remain for the duration of the Festival.
